A Brand New Me

Writing is like second nature to me, so I guess that would make reading my first love.  As far back as I can remember, I have always loved to read.  I can remember my childhood best friend constantly fussing at me about having a book in my hand when I was supposed to be spending time with her.  Even now, I hardly ever leave my house without a book.  I just never know where or when there will be some down time in my day and I will have an opportunity to read a page or two.  I must seize the reading moment!

As for this blog, it gives me the opportunity to combine the three things I love doing most; reading, writing and sharing what I’ve read with others!  My hope is that friends who share a love for reading will join me in reading and discussing new books on this blog.  The basic idea is kind of like an online book study!

I am really very excited about this new chapter in my life!  If you’d like to join me, the first book I will be reading is God is Able by Priscilla Shirer.  I know this time of year is very hectic with shopping and traveling; and settling into the new year takes some adjustments as well, so I will begin this book study on February 1, 2015.  Hopefully, this will give others time to get through the holidays and purchase the book.
