In this life, there are two things I wish to be. The first, I want to be my most authentic self. The second, I would like to be a good spiritual representation to those I love.

Isaiah 42:6 reads: "I the Lord, have called you in righteousness, I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and the light for the Gentiles."
As I take this time to remind myself, I also want to remind you that you have the full power of God within you! Whatever challenges you face, you do not have to bear them alone. With Christ, you always have a choice. With that choice comes the power to be a light and spiritual representation to others.
None of us are perfect and we do not need to be to share our faith with others. When we are true to God he can help us be true to ourselves.
The more I spent time with God, the more I understood that he was not sitting on his throne waiting for me to mess up so that he could punish me. When I stopped trying to be perfect and stopped beating myself up for every mistake I made, I was able to focus my attention on learning all that I could about God and his love for me. I focused on building a relationship with him. The more I get to know God, the easier it is for me to grow into who it is I want to be. Being myself gives others permission to be themselves.

God made us to be a covenant and a light to others. Let's help each other to do just that.
