Hope = a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
With a new year comes new hopes, dreams, and expectations for the future. No one knows what the future holds however, what we hope for are all the wonderful things this life has to offer.
Often, the more undesirable things we see, hear, and feel causes our hope to fade. As we look at the world around us, the hurt that we experience, the pain and devastation others experience, we slowly begin to feel as if there is no longer a reason to hope.

As of this very moment, I am sitting here thinking, “wow, we’ve only been in the new year fifteen days and I have had many people close to me experience a loss.” I have had friends who have lost loved ones, young and old. We have had a coronavirus scare within my own family. My husband has lost an uncle and members of his family have struggled, in the hospital, with coronavirus. There has been a lot of sadness these past fifteen days.
When I think about the sadness and challenging situations we face in life, I truly understand why hope is so important. When we foster and develop a feeling/mindset of hope, it gives us the ability to see ourselves on the other side of a situation that may seem dire at the moment. Hope gives us the ability to envision better not only for ourselves, but for those we love and care about. Hope motives and drives us toward the things we want in life. Hope pushes us to not give up.

As adults, we know that difficult and hard times come along and we also know that joyful, happy times come as well. Hope gives us the opportunity to focus on the joyful and happy moments we experience knowing that more will come. My wish and prayer today, for all who read this is more joyous and happy times, and when the difficult times come along, we will have hope to carry us through.
Peace and Blessings to you…😊
