God’s Grace

For years I searched my little brain for the one quick prayer I wanted to recite each morning when I awoke.  I knew I didn’t want it to be long but something I could quickly say that would put my mind, right away, on the one who blessed me to live another day.  I tried more than a few but none seemed to fit well.  A few months ago my mind settled on, “God’s grace is sufficient.”  Simple, yet the perfect way to remind me immediately that no matter what I am faced with during the day, God’s blessing is enough to make it through any challenge, physical, emotional or spiritual pain.

After experiencing a challenge today, I learned that sometimes when you think you’ve won, you’ve really lost and sometimes when you think you’ve lost, you’ve really won.  Now, I didn’t come to this understanding immediately after I was faced with the challenge.  To be perfectly honest, it came hours later.  After I’d called my love to vent my frustration, cried a bit, forced myself not to think negatively and spent some time praying, God reminded me that His grace is sufficient.

Life is forever changing.  Due to the current state of our country, I have been asked to work from home.  I am working from home with a four year old that I not only have to educate but attempt to keep entertained throughout the day so finding and keeping my peace is very important to me.  Now more than ever, I must know, each day, that God’s grace is sufficient.

Know that God is with you. His grace – His favor, is enough, all by itself, to sustain you until He determines that the pain, challenge, or situation should end.

Be blessed this day and every day…:)
